Nature Photographer  ~  Wildflowers, Waterfalls & Wanderings

At the present time, Linda lives in Lexington, Ky with her husband Ralph and their 2 dogs, Mickey and Daisy.

"It was my privilege to be born and reared in Perry County, which is located in the foothills of Appalachia in Eastern Kentucky.  From firsthand experience, I gained an appreciation for the people, the land, and a love for the outdoors.  This stemmed by desire to photography the beauty of my surroundings and I purchased my first 35mm camera in 1979."

After attending the Ohio Institute of Photography in Dayton, Ohio, she became a full time professional portrait photographer.  Linda soon realized that the walls of a studio were too confining and her love was born of traveling around Eastern Ky photographing the vast beauty of nature in the area as well as throughout her beloved state of Kentucky.  Her specialty is a unique portrayal of wildflowers, waterfalls, and landscapes for which she has received numerous awards and recognition.

Fugate-Blumer is a juried member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsman and the Sheltowee Artisans in Somerset, Ky.

Her prints can be purchased at The Landmark Gallery in Somerset, The Berea Artisan Center, The Montgomery Council for the Arts Gallery in Mt. Sterling, art fairs, and various exhibits or contact her by email:  blumer.r@insightbb.com
