Anita Rummage

     Anita Rummage is a resident of Morehead , KY , and a native of Bardstown, in central Kentucky .  She is a professional artist who enjoys many media, including oils, acrylics, colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, pastel, oil, scratch art and pen and ink.  Most of her works are portraits and painted or drawn on commission. She has released 17 limited edition prints as well.  She doesn’t limit her subject matter, as she’s drawn or painted a large variety of subjects.  

She joined the Morehead Art Guild in 2001 and enjoys the sharing and encouragement of the members of this guild!  Anita has served as President of the MAGI for 2004 and 2005.  

  She has participated in numerous art shows and fairs and has won awards.  Anita is also a member of the Morehead Photos in Common photo club, is a member of the Montgomery County Arts Council, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Rowan County Arts Promotion Foundation.  She also volunteers as the Gifted/Talented art teacher for Tilden Hogge Elementary students weekly.  

Anita works for the Ky. Transportation Cabinet in Jackson and is married to Jim Rummage (Deputy State Hwy Engineer for KYTC).  They have three children:  Kelsey McMichael, (also a member of the MAGI),  Erin and Adam Rummage.
